In June 2008, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, experienced the single most catastrophic flooding the state has ever seen. The 185th Air Refueling Wing Unit of the Air National Guard immediately responded to this crisis. Mount Mercy College proudly stepped forward to house more than 600 National Guard members, law enforcement officers and Red Cross volunteers while they tirelessly worked to serve our community during the greatest natural disaster in Iowas history. Several Mount Mercy College students will participate in programs and internships in European countries over the summer, a result of the strong international connections Mount Mercy has formed with international higher education institutions and study abroad consortia.

LITTLE FALLS, N.Y. -- Mount Mercy juniors Derrick Weber and Ryan Delf are gaining some valuable experience this summer, competing for the Mohawk Valley Diamond Dawgs of the New York Collegiate Baseball League.
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- Josh Watznauer, a 6'-8", 225-pound forward from John Wood Community College (Ill.), has signed a letter of intent to join the Mount Mercy men's basketball team, Head Coach Paul Gavin announced.
