Accounting majors develop the ability to compile financial statements and analyze complex data while becoming proficient in relevant computer applications. Mount Mercy offers a broad range of upper level electives which cater to specialized interests and future career options including:

The Accounting major prepares students for professional positions in all areas of the accounting field and is designed to give the necessary coursework in preparation for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) examinations.
