What classes should I take to enter the program?

If you are in high school and are considering the accounting program at Mount Mercy, you should take any available courses in accounting, business, economics and computer applications. Although the department does not have specific prerequisites, the College does recommend the following classes:

  • English, four years including literature
  • Mathematics, two or more years including algebra, algebra II and geometry
  • Social studies, three or more years including American and European history
  • Science, two or more years of a laboratory science
  • Foreign language, two or more year
