What classes
should I take to enter the program?
If you are in high school and considering one of the computer-related
programs at Mount Mercy, you should have a strong interest in mathematics.
A minimum of three years of high school math, including courses in pre-calculus
and calculus, are recommended. If your school offers them, classes like
programming in C, C++, and Java will help.
The College also recommends the following classes:
- English, four
years including literature
- Social studies,
three or more years including American and European history
- Science, two
or more years of a laboratory science
- Foreign language,
two or more years
