What classes should I take to enter the program?

The major requires 48 semester hours in six disciplines to graduate:

  • Economics: Microeconomics Principles.
  • Humanities: One course from a selected list in English, philosophy or religious studies.
  • Foreign Language: Two courses at the intermediate level or above.
  • History: Two courses -- Latin American History, Imperial Russia & the Soviet Era.
  • Political Science: Global Interdependence & Human Survival, and one additional course from a selected list.
  • Sociology: Methods of Social Research and one additional course from a selected list.
  • Concentration Requirement: The student must complete an additional six semester hours of courses numbered 200 or above from any of the departments listed above.
