What classes
should I take to enter the program?
Although the political science department does not have specific prerequisites,
they suggest the following if available:
- American government
- Current issues
- Global economics
- European, Far Eastern and Middle Eastern history
and politics
Also, Mount Mercy recommends
several classes to prepare for your college experience:
- English, four
years including literature
- Mathematics,
two or more years including algebra, algebra II and geometry
- Social studies,
three or more years including American and European history
- Science, two
or more years of a laboratory science
- Foreign language,
two or more years
