Pre-Professional Programs

At Mount Mercy, we do not award degrees in pre-professional subjects, but we do offer tracks in the following areas:

• Pre-Medicine
• Pre-Physician Assistant
• Pre-Physical Therapy
• Pre-Occupational Therapy
• Pre-Law

You will be able to transfer from pre-professional study at Mount Mercy to professional study at institutions with no loss of credit. Depending on the professional program, you can spend one to four years at Mount Mercy completing pre-professional requirements.

You should find out the specific curriculum requirements before you undertake a pre-professional course of study. In consultation with the departmental advisor, you will plan a course of study that meets the requirements of your professional program.

General information about the majors most pre-professional students complete can be found in two areas. The pre-law track can be found in the criminal justice section, all others can be found in the biology section.
