Commencement Information for All Graduating Seniors
Mount Mercy
students must submit an Application
for Graduation (available from the Registrar) to the
Registrar’s Office to be considered a candidate for graduation.
This should be submitted at the time the student registers for
the final two semesters of study. Refer to the college catalog
for specific academic graduation requirements or contact the Registrar’s
Office (319-363-8213 ext. 1845) if you have questions concerning
the application process.
Commencement
apparel must be ordered by April 9 to avoid a late fee and to
ensure availability by Commencement. Go to www.herff-jones.com/college/graduation
and type in Mount Mercy to order apparel. Information is also
available in the college Bookstore. There is no charge for the
apparel. All questions regarding caps and gowns should be directed
to the Bookstore. Apparel will be shipped to the Bookstore for
distribution at Commencement rehearsal. Please try on your gown
prior to commencement to be certain that it fits. If it does not,
notify the Bookstore as soon as possible.
Commencement
announcements and other mementos can be ordered online as well
at www.herff-jones.com/college/graduation
or contact the Bookstore if you have questions. The same order
form is used for ordering announcements and apparel. Announcements
must be paid for upon ordering and will be shipped to your home
or campus address. The Bookstore also has generic announcements
available for purchase.
The bulletin
board located next to the elevator on first floor McAuley Hall
is dedicated to information for seniors. Please refer to it regularly.
