What
classes should I take to enter the program?
Although the social work department does not have specific requirements,
it recommends you take classes that help you to understand human behavior
as well as coursework exposing you to diversity and how political systems
work to respond to human needs.
Mount Mercy recommends several classes to prepare for college academics:
- English, four
years including literature
- Mathematics,
two or more years including algebra, algebra II and geometry
- Social Studies,
three or more years including American and European history
- Science, two
or more years of a laboratory science
- Foreign language,
two or more years
