The
RN to BSN is an accelerated BSN degree completion program for
RNs who have a current and valid Iowa RN license. In accordance
with the Iowa Articulation Plan for Nursing Education: RN to Baccalaureate,
Mount Mercy offers this program tailored for working RNs with
three years of experience to earn a bachelor of science in nursing.
Upon completion of the application process, the RN to BSN advisor
assists students in establishing the most appropriate program
of study.
Applicants
to the program must meet the following admission criteria:

At
least 23 years of age.

At
least three years of work experience as a nurse.

Cumulative
GPA of 2.5 or higher for transferable college credit.

Current
and valid Iowa RN license.
Nursing courses with a clinical component may not be
taken by a person who has been denied licensure by the Board;
whose license is currently suspended, surrendered or revoked
in any U.S. jurisdiction; whose license/registration is currently
suspended, surrendered or revoked in another country due to
disciplinary action.
