International Admission

Applications for enrollment are reviewed on a rolling admission basis until 15 days prior to the start of the academic term. International students must submit the following items to be considered for admission:

Submit a completed admission application and personal statement from one of the following: 
 - International Freshman Online Application
 - International Transfer Online Application
 - Paper Application (pdf)

Official high school transcripts translated into English by an official English Language Translator 

Official college and/or foreign university transcripts (for transfer students) translated into English and evaluated by a foreign credit evaluation agency

Official scores from a Test of English Language Proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS, STEP Eiken, ACT or SAT)

Certification of funding sources (certificate of finance or letter with affidavit from bank) 

 Mount Mercy evaluates all files on an individual basis using a variety of factors to ensure that students admitted to the College are those who are best fit and whose preparation and experience suggest they will achieve success at Mount Mercy.

For freshman admission, strong consideration is given to applicants with the following:

Cumulative transfer grade point average of 2.50 (on a 4.00 scale)

Test scores:
 - TOEFL (550 PBT, 213 CBT, 79 IBT)
 - IELTS (6.5); STEP Eiken (Grade 1)
 - ACT (Composite of 20 with sub-scores of 17 or higher)
 - SAT (940)

The Admission Committee will review any files of those students who do not meet the minimun standards or who warrant concern. Any admission conditions and/or course recommendations will be determined on an individual basis by the Committee. If the student is an athlete, they must meet the guidelines to be eligible to play (per NAIA Article V, sections C and C.2).
