Mount Mercy recognizes alumni for professional accomplishments
and service to the community at the annual Recognition Luncheon
in conjunction with Reunions the first Saturday in October. Awards
are presented in the following categories:
The Alumni Certificate of Merit may be awarded to alumni who graduated
within the previous 10 years whose use of their Mount Mercy education
and leadership qualities show promise of significant professional
growth or achievement.
The Alumni Professional Achievement Award can go to any graduate
for significant contribution or achievement in his/her chosen
professional field.
The Misericordiae Award may be awarded for humanitarian service
to others through professional or volunteer activities.
The Distinguished Service Award may go to any graduate who improved
the quality of life in the community by influencing social structures
or establishing and promoting services to other or for outstanding
service rendered to Mount Mercy over a period of years.
