Matt
finished sixth or better in the shot put and weight throw
in each of Mount Mercy's three indoor track and field meets
in January. The Cedar Rapids native also set a school record
in the weight throw and finished sixth with a 45'-11 3/4"
toss at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Open. At
the Central College Invitational, Matt was fourth in the
weight throw and sixth in the shot, then placed second in
the weight throw and third in the shot at the Cornell College
Quadrangular.

Kristin Vannoy
Senior Forward/Women's Basketball
Hometown: Coralville, Iowa
During
the month of January, Kristin averaged 18.6 points, 6.3
rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.8 steals in eight games. She
shot 50 percent from the field (55-of-110, 40 percent from
3-point range (12-of-30) and 71 percent at the free throw
line (27-of-38). The Coralville native recorded double-doubles
against the University of Dubuque and St. Ambrose University.
She scored a career-high 28 points and grabbed 12 rebounds
in a win over Dubuque, the posted 25 points and 10 boards
in a loss to Midwest Classic Conference leader St. Ambrose.
