Druschel became head coach of the Mustangs after serving as Mount Mercy's hitting coach during the 2005 season. In his second season at the helm, he led the Mustangs to the championship round of the 2007 NAIA Region VII Tournament. A 1998 Mount Mercy graduate who played three seasons for the Mustangs, Druschel was the head baseball coach at Franciscan from 2001-04, where he helped the Saints set 45 school records. Prior to that, he spent time as an assistant at Franciscan and at Indiana, where he earned his Masters in Athletic Administration/Sports Management in 2001.

Gavin Tugana
Assistant Coach/Director of Fall Baseball League

Alma Mater: Luther
Tugana was sidelined by Tommy John surgery as a member of the Luther baseball team, then became a student manager for the Norse. He is currently working on a Masters degree at Northern Iowa and is the director of Mount Mercy's Fall Baseball League.
Frank FishlerAssistant Coach

Alma Mater: Wisconsin-La Crosse
Fishler has coached at the college and high school levels during his career. He was an assistant at his alma mater from 1990-93, was on the coaching staff at Cornell from 2000-01, and then became Head Coach of the Rams from 2002-09. He amassed 140 wins at Cornell, and his teams posted seven of the school's top 10 win totals. Fishler's 2003 squad set a school record for wins in a season (27). He coached 14 all-conference performers at Cornell, including a Major League Baseball draftee. Fishler also coached at Midland High School from 1994-2002, leading them to a school-record 28 victories in 2002.
