and Larsen race at national meet

KENOSHA, Wis.
-- Sophomore Mallory Marshall and senior Katie Larsen raced against
the best in the country on Saturday, and both were among the top
140 at the 2007 NAIA Women's Cross Country Championships at Wayne
E. Dannehl Cross Country Course.
It's the second
straight appearance at nationals for the Mount Mercy College runners,
both of whom were all-region and all-conference performers this
fall. Marshall finished 123rd in a field of 268 runners at the
national meet with a time of 19:22.60 in the women's 5K. Larsen
came in 139th, crossing the finish line in 19:32.60.
Jaime Canterbury
of Azusa Pacific University (Calif.) was the national champion,
finishing in 17:10.80, while Simon Fraser (B.C.) earned a 46-point
victory over Cedarville University (Ohio) to take the team title.
