compete at St. Ambrose Invitational

DAVENPORT,
Iowa -- The Mount Mercy College men's golf team played in its
second meet of the season, finishing 14th at the St. Ambrose University
Invitational Sunday and Monday at Emeis Golf Course.
Juniors Justin
Leas, Jason Juhl, and Shane Parmenter led the Mustangs at the
two-day event. Leas posted a 154 with rounds of 80 and 74, followed
by Juhl at 157 (73-84) and Parmenter at 158 (80-78). Senior Bryan
Von Roden totaled 160 (79-81). Junior Travis Dirks, playing as
an individual, carded rounds 81 and 87 for a 168 total. Adam White
of St. Ambrose was medalist, shooting 63 and 71 for the winning
score of 134.
St. Ambrose
Blue edged Davenport University (Mich.) for the team title as
well, 558-562. St. Ambrose White came in third at 574, Grand View
College Red fourth at 588, and Iowa Wesleyan College at 590. Mount
Mercy ended up 14th at 624.
This weekend,
the Mustangs host the Mount Mercy Fall Invitational at Hunters
Ridge Golf Course in Marion, Iowa. Tee times begin at noon on
Saturday and 9:00 a.m. Sunday.
