to Face Top-Seeded William Penn in MCC Tournament

CEDAR
RAPIDS, Iowa -- The Mount Mercy College softball team is seeded
eighth and will take on top-seeded and NAIA 20th-ranked William
Penn University in the first round of the 2007 Midwest Classic
Conference Softball Tournament Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at Greenvalley
Softball Complex in Moline, Ill.
Other first
round matchups in the double-elimination tournament include fourth-seeded
Grand View College against fifth-seeded St. Ambrose University,
third-seeded Iowa Wesleyan College versus sixth-seeded Ashford
University, and second-seeded Waldorf College against seventh-seeded
Viterbo University (Wis.). Second round games, including a pair
of elimination games, will take place 5:00 p.m. Another set of
elimination games at 7:00 p.m. will send two more teams home.
Tournament play continues on Friday at 10:00 a.m., noon, 2:00
