CEDAR RAPIDS,
Iowa -- Senior infielder Tara Herzberger, who hit .667 in four
games for the Mount Mercy College softball team, has been named
the Midwest Collegiate Conference Player of the Week for April
14.
Herzberger
collected eight hits in 12 at-bats, including a double, and drove
in two runs for the Mustangs. She was also 2-for-3 on stolen bases
and scored three runs. Herzberger went 4-for-4 with two runs scored
and two RBIs in a win at Ashford University.
Mount Mercy,
which split an MCC doubleheader with Iowa Wesleyan College on
Tuesday, hosts William Penn University in a league doubleheader
on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. at Third Base Sports Park in Cedar Rapids,
Iowa. The Mustangs' homestand continues when Grand View College
visits on Friday for a 5:00 p.m. twinbill at Third Base Sports
Park.
