Hills duo to play softball at Mount Mercy

CEDAR
RAPIDS, Iowa -- Emily
Madsen and Sara Tschetter of Indian Hills Community College will
continue their softball careers at Mount Mercy College, Head Coach
Glenn Johnson announced.
Madsen, an
outfielder, is a Coralville native who prepped at Iowa City West.
This spring, she hit .301 with a team-high two triples and 17
runs batted in this spring for the Warriors.
Tschetter,
an outfielder/catcher, is from Milford and Okoboji High School.
She batted .306 with 13 RBIs and was second on the team with six
stolen bases. As a freshman at Indian Hills, Tschetter was the
team’s most improved player and received the Warrior Award.
Mount Mercy’s
2008-09 recruiting class now sits at 11 student-athletes. Madsen
and Tschetter join Becca Smith of Solon, Therese O’Shea
of Glenbard South (Ill.), Sheena Canady and Brianna Williams of
Kirkwood Community College, Mariah Early of Cedar Rapids Jefferson,
Katelynn Edwards of Marion, Briana DeFlavio of Simi Valley (Calif.),
Christina Husmann of Monticello, and Devin Bryant of HLV on the
Mustang roster.
