and Bryant sign with Mount Mercy softball

RAPIDS, Iowa -- Mount
Mercy College Head Softball Coach Glenn Johnson has announced
the addition of two more student-athletes to the Mustang softball
program.
Christina
Husmann from Monticello High School was an Iowa Class 2A honorable
mention all-state selection as a senior after batting .378 with
34 stolen bases.
Devin Bryant
from HLV High School has been a three-year letterwinner in softball.
She has also competed in volleyball, basketball, and golf, earning
HLV’s leadership award academic all-conference honors throughout
her prep career.
Husmann and
Bryant join seven others in Mount Mercy’s 2008-09 recruiting
class. Becca Smith of Solon, Therese O’Shea of Glenbard
South (Ill.), Sheena Canady and Brianna Williams of Kirkwood Community
College, Mariah Early of Cedar Rapids Jefferson, Katelynn Edwards
of Marion, and Briana DeFlavio of Simi Valley (Calif.) will compete
for the Mustangs next year.
