Johnson,
who took over the Mustang softball program in the fall of
2006, has been president of the Cedar Rapids Girls’
Fastpitch Softball Association since 1990 and has also coached
a girls’ ASA traveling softball team, the Cedar Rapids
Blue Devils, for 17 years. He is a member of the National
Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) and holds a Two-Star
Master Coach Certification from the NFCA. Johnson,
a patent lawyer with Shuttleworth & Ingersoll, P.L.C.,
graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 1973
and earned a J.D. from the University of Iowa in 1975. |

Yoder

Yoder
graduated from Iowa Wesleyan College with a Bachelor of
Arts degree in education. He played baseball throughout
college, has coached fastpitch softball for the past six
years and is a member of the National Fastpitch Coaches
Association (NFCA). |

Olachnovitch
Pitching Coach
Second year at Mount Mercy College
Olachnovitch
has been coaching fastpitch softball for more than 28 years,
with his primary focus being pitching. For the past four
years, he was the pitching coach at the University of Northern
Iowa. Olachnovitch also teaches at Linn-Mar High School
in Marion, Iowa. |

Melissa
Tompkins
Assistant Coach
Second year at Mount Mercy College
In the
spring of 2006, Melissa completed her softball career as
an NCAA Division I catcher/outfielder. She teaches in the
Linn-Mar school district and was an assistant coach at Cedar
Rapids Kennedy High School in the summer of 2006. Tompkins
will work primarily with the catchers. |

Bob
Tiedtke & Blake Tiedtke
Strength & Conditioning Coaches
Second year at Mount Mercy College
Bob
Tiedtke started and operates the Pump House in Cedar Rapids,
a facility dedicated to providing strength and conditioning
instruction area youth. Blake Tiedtke, who has regularly
helped as an instructor at the Pump House, graduated in
May of 2006 from the University of Nebraska, where he was
a starting safety for the Cornhuskers. He is now in his
first year of a doctoral program for physical therapy at
The University of Iowa. |
