DUBUQUE, Iowa -- Four double-digit scorers and one of the best offensive performances of the season helped the Mount Mercy College women's basketball team end a four-game losing streak with an 80-64 victory over Clarke College in Midwest Collegiate Conference play Wednesday at the Kehl Center.

The Mustangs (9-17, 6-7 MCC) reached the 80-point mark for the first time since a 91-83 overtime loss at the University of St. Francis (Ill.) on Nov. 9, and only a 57.4 percent clip from the field in an overtime win over Viterbo University (Wis.) on Jan. 26 was higher than Wednesday's 50.9 percent shooting performance.

Mount Mercy, which led by 17 points at halftime, was outrebounded, 36-29, but forced 33 turnovers and finished with 22 steals, the second-highest single-game total in school history. The 1995-96 Mustangs recorded 28 steals against Iowa Wesleyan College.

Junior guard Kelli Dabroski led the Mustangs in scoring for the second game in a row with her third double-figure scoring output in the last four games. She finished with 17 points, three rebounds, and four steals. Junior guard Jessie Dirks added 16 points, four boards, and three steals. Senior forward Chelsie Patik tallied 16 points and a team-high five steals, while junior forward Katie Manning had 13 points and a team-best six rebounds. Freshman guard Kadie Carman gave Mount Mercy a lift off the bench with a career-high nine points, five assists, and five steals.

Laura Gaylord poured in a game-high 21 points and grabbed four rebounds, four assists, and three steals for the Crusaders (1-26, 0-13 MCC). Missy Perry chipped in 10 points and three steals, Molly Browning eight points and six boards, and Lauren Johnson seven points and five assists.

Mount Mercy hosts Ashford University (9-17, 3-10) in its final regular season home game on Saturday. Tip-off on Seniors Day is 1:00 p.m. at Hennessey Recreation Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
