will play basketball at Mount Mercy

RAPIDS, Iowa -- Mediapolis
High School standout Kaci McLaughlin has signed a letter of intent
to play basketball at Mount Mercy College, Head Women’s
Basketball Coach Shawn Stimmel announced.
McLaughlin,
a 5-7 guard, was a unanimous first-team all-South East Iowa Super
Conference performer after averaging eight points, five rebounds,
three assists, and two steals per game for Head Coach Todd Rogers.
She also participated in the southeast Iowa all-star game and
the Iowa Girls’ Coaches Association (IGCA) all-star game.
“Kaci
will be a nice addition to our program,” said Stimmel. “She’s
a tough player who plays hard and is also smart player. I’m
looking forward to working with her and developing her skills
even further.”
McLaughlin,
the daughter of Dan and Jackie McLaughlin, is the sixth member
of Mount Mercy’s 2008-09 recruiting class. She joins Emily
Greiner of Kingsland High School (Minn.), Adrian Nelson of Oelwein
High School, Kristi Branham and Rebecca Lampe of Highland High
School, and Monticello prep Terri Dirks on the Mustang roster.

Mercy women's basketball team next season.
