    Mount Mercy Emerging Leaders

Emerging Leaders is a leadership education and development program designed to provide new and continuing Mount Mercy students with the tools to become successful, active campus and community leaders.

Focused on servant leadership and value exploration, the program also supports academic stimuli, experiential learning, people skills, and personal and/or spiritual motivations, guiding students to successful campus and community leadership.

retreats: first- and third-year overnight
  • a renewable merit scholarship for full participation in community service
  • co-curricular literature reviews and reflective essays
  • maintenance of a 2.5 GPA or higher
  • program attendance 
  
regular meetings with the advisor
   annual service in at least one campus leadership position
   a small group service learning experience
   self reflection and evaluation
   senior presentation
