Students in
Free Enterprise (SIFE) provides students the opportunity to make
a difference and to develop leadership skills through teamwork,
as well as communication skills, through learning, practicing
and teaching the principles of free enterprise.
More than
1,000 colleges and universities from all over the world are involved
in SIFE. Students prepare annual reports, which are presented
to a panel of national business leaders and entrepreneurs who
rate the overall effectiveness of their efforts. Winning teams
in each region advance to international competition. Mount Mercy
has received top honors numerous times.
SIFE is open
to all majors, and it provides individuals with a “hands-on”
opportunity to practice the skills learned in the classroom. Whether
you participate in one project, all projects, or help out with
competition, SIFE will provide you with a great experience.
