Mount Mercy College Names Dean of Enrollment
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (January 21, 2009) – Mount Mercy
College announced today that Mary Kathleen (Kate) Leonard-Getty
has been named dean of enrollment for the College.
As Dean of Enrollment, Getty will oversee recruitment, admissions
and financial aid operations of the College. She will provide
creative leadership in enrollment functions of the College and
will develop and implement Mount Mercy’s strategic enrollment
plan.
Prior to joining Mount Mercy, Getty served as the associate director
of graduate and continuing studies at Stephens College in Columbia,
Missouri.
Getty received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Briar Cliff University,
her Master of Arts degree and her Doctorate of Education degree
from the University of South Dakota. Getty is a member of the
Association of Institutional Research, the National Association
of Student Financial Aid, the American Counseling Association,
the National Association College Admission Counseling, National
Association Student Personnel Administrators, National Association
Graduate Admissions Professionals, and the National Board of Certified
Counselors.
