A Message from the President of Mount

Members of
the Mount Mercy College community,
The Mount
Mercy College Board of Trustees voted to adopt the vision
and values
statements as official policy of Mount Mercy College on April
28, 2007. The Board also amended the mission
to incorporate graduate education. This Board adoption of new
statements is of historic importance, positioning the College
for an era of bold vision and clear priorities.
As Mount Mercy’s
president it is my charge to lead the campus community in the
visionary direction that the Board has set. I look forward to
the collegial nature of that endeavor, since we shall only be
able to realize our institutional purpose and vision collectively.
Mount Mercy College will shortly engage in a process of strategic
planning to address how our mission, vision, and values must be
the primary drivers of our goals, plans, and actions.
Today we publicly
celebrate the hopes, ideals and aspirations of Mount Mercy College
and a clear vision of where our educational future lies.
